Equity Lab operates within a daily schedule of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. At the middle school level, the school day is organized into 60-minute academic and co-academic blocks (Arts and Movement) with the option of combining blocks for 120 minutes. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, students have a 120 minute blocks to engage in College and Career Exploration. At the high school level, academic and co-academic classes are organized into six 60 minute blocks with the option of combining blocks to form 120 minute blocks. Once a week, high school students can participate in an early college class (dual enrollment) and/or internship.
At both the middle and high school levels, blocks include academic subjects linked to a project: Math Integration, English Language Arts (ELA) Integration, Social Studies Integration, and Science Integration. They also include co-academic subjects linked to a project: Arts Integration and Movement Integration. Accelerated Learning Labs (ALL) is daily academic intervention where students can receive targeted instruction in Math and ELA, Special Education students can receive direct services, and ELs can receive direct English instruction. The daily schedule includes a 30-minute morning circle (advisory) at the beginning of the day and a 60-minute school-wide community lunch.
